I was always interested in human body and figure, as well as clothing. I studied Costume Design at the University of Belgrade, including both Fashion and Stage Costume. Although professionally I followed career in design of theatrical costumes, I kept interest in contemporary dress which largelly inspired me in my work for stage. Since student days, I tend to merge theatre and fashion in majority of my design work.
I started designing jewelry primarily from need to explore my personal fashion style, as well as to explore my creative abilities and aesthetic in world of contemporary fashion. My major fashion influences are Rick Owens, Damir Doma, Ann Demeulemeester, JP Gaultier, Yohji Yamamoto and Heider Akerman. I am also very interested and inspired by tribal and anciant jewelry and handcraft.

Name Kostimusha comes from my university days as well. in Serbian language, it indicates female person that practice fashion with superficiality and vanity, and it has certain dose of humor in it. This was the nick name for
(female) Costume Design students that was usually used by students of the other Fine Arts departments at the University.
